"Java" John return's "ON THE FLIPSIDE" to TROPIC WAVE RADIO!

 "Java" John The Host of the popular show AN ACOUSTIC RECORD (formally on Tropic Wave, currently Monday Nights on WFIT Public Radio), excitedly returns to TROPIC WAVE RADIO with "ON THE FLIPSIDE"!! The program will air Monday-Friday 10am -2pm, beginning on December 1st 2009...just in time to ring in the new decade.

 "ON THE FLIPSIDE" is based on the classic AOR (Album Oriented Rock) & Free Form radio format of the 1960's and 70's, featuring New (and old) Music by classic rock, soul & folk heroes (some of whom no longer get their new music played on conventional radio, but have in fact produced some of the finest works of their careers). The program also features New Music by Contemporary Artists, as well.

"ON THE FLIPSIDE" will also present frequent interviews with many international recording artists, as well as favorite local and regional performers! During his 3 years in radio, John has already had the pleasure to have had interviewed many of his favorite Pop Culture icons including:

"Java" John is also an in demand Graphic Artist/Illustrator. A designer of Music related Posters and CD covers, John's been featured in PhotoShop Creative Magazine, and the 2009 books - "PhanArt: The Art of Phish Phans"; and "HOPE: A Collection of Obama Posters and Prints". In 2008 & 09, he was also selected along with 35 artists (in each city) to be a part of the Orlando and Miami Gibson "GUITARTOWNS", having painted original artwork on two 10ft tall Gibson guitar replicas. The 70 guitars were donated, auctioned, and raised approximately  $400,000.00 for local charities!
